Drew joins Ironspring Ventures to expand investing team and grow SF presence

Ironspring Ventures is excited to announce a new addition to our investment team, Drew Kriens, who will join as a Principal based in San Francisco. Drew brings outstanding investing experience to Ironspring, along with impressive sector depth in industrial technology. In launching Ironspring’s investment team presence in San Francisco, we’re expanding our coverage and engagement in the country’s leading hub for AI tech where there is also a thriving industrial tech ecosystem, and with the addition of Drew, the enhanced Ironspring team is strongly positioned to identify the next wave of leading digital industrial founders and companies.

About Drew Kriens, Principal

Drew comes to Ironspring Ventures from Standard Investments, where he spent more than six years investing in early to growth stage industrial tech startups and contributed to 15+ investments across a $500M portfolio. At Standard, Drew also led sourcing and diligence efforts and was responsible for market research and thesis development for core industrial tech industries. Early in his career, Drew worked at Juniper Networks where he supported marketing efforts on the data science team. Drew is highly engaged with the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the Bay Area, serving on the board of 1440 Multiversity and as an active angel investor. He is a graduate of the University of Oregon (BS Business).
